Things you have to notice during 73rd anniversary of PRC and the 20th National Congress

Coming to October 2022, it will be the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the PRC. Meanwhile, the 20th National Congress of the CPC will be held in Beijing on 16th October, 2022. Please be reminded that all promotions and advertisements in China must be strictly aligned with the Advertising Law in China. Here are some reminders for all advertisers regarding this period.


1. The use or disguised use of the national flag, national anthem, and national emblem of the People's Republic of China; the regional flag and regional emblem of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Macao Special Administrative Region are strictly prohibited for commercial promotion.


2. It is strictly forbidden to use or disguised use of the name or image of the current, former or deceased leaders of the party and the state and other relevant staff members for commercial promotion.


3. It is strictly forbidden to use the name of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China or the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in advertisements to conduct commercial marketing and hype for profit.


4. It is strictly forbidden to use the name of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China or the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in advertisements to carry out counterfeit and shoddy, false advertisements and other illegal activities.


5. It is strictly forbidden to publish various souvenirs/commodities related to [the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and party and government, state leaders, and revolutionary martyrs] and political-related commodities regardless of industry category. Advertisements that interfere with public order or violate morals and good morals are strictly prohibited.
